Meditation 24
For I am your provider and I meet all your needs.
Matthew 6:31-33
31 “Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ 32 For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. One of the biggest causes of stress in life is the pressure to provide for daily needs. Parents are especially strapped with these practical concerns. But Father God wants you to rely on Him so that He will be the main provider in your life. You don’t have to worry and strive about what you are going to eat, what you are going to wear and where you are going to sleep. You have a heavenly Father who has promised to look after all the nitty-gritty details of your life.
PRAYER
Father, I confess that I have been anxious about many things. Help me to trust You with today’s provision and to leave tomorrow’s needs in Your care. I want to seek You first today. I have confidence and faith that You will provide for all of my needs—and more! Amen
