Meditation 41
One day I will wipe away every tear from your eyes.
Revelation 21:3
I heard a loud voice out of heaven saying, “Behold, God’s dwelling is with people, and he will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. (WEB)
The Bible promises to those who put their faith in Christ that at the end of all time there will be no more death or mourning, no more crying or pain. The soothing comfort of Father God’s love will assuredly make all your earthly suffering a distant memory. And as He gazes into your tear-filled eyes, you will realize at that moment that you are finally home. While your temporal life on earth will one day come to an end, you have the hope of an eternity of living near to the Father’s heart.
PRAYER
Father, it is hard for gravity-bound earthlings to imagine what heaven will be like—no more death or pain or injustices or hatred. I look forward to that day when I will see You face-to-face and dwell with You forever. Thank You for the incredible hope that I have because of the willingness of Jesus to bear my sins on the cross. Amen.
