I am your Father, and I love you even as I love my son, Jesus.
John 17:23
I in them, and you in me, that they may be perfected into one; that the world may know that you sent me and loved them, even as you loved me. (WEB)
Jesus is the ideal Son that any Father would be proud of. He was sinless and perfect in every way and obedient to His Father’s every wish. Theirs is the ultimate love relationship—the perfect Son and the perfect Father. What is incredible to consider is that because of the cross, you have the privilege of sharing in the same relationship with the Father that Jesus has had from the beginning of time.
When the Father looks at you, He sees the life of His beloved Son! You may not be able to comprehend this incredible love, and it is not something that you could ever earn, but it is yours by faith through Jesus Christ. God loves you even as He loves Jesus!
PRAYER
Loving Father, I pray that You will help me grasp the amazing truth that You love me even as You love Your Son, Jesus. Though it is difficult to comprehend, by faith I believe it to be true. I praise You that You have welcomed me with open arms into Your forever family. Amen.
