And it is my desire to lavish my love on you.
1 John 3:1
See how great a love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God! For this cause the world doesn’t know us, because it didn’t know him. (WEB)
What a thought: the God who created the heavens and the Earth has welcomed you into His glorious family! First and foremost you are His child, dearly loved of the Father. Your work or ministry involvements are secondary to this fact. He adores the real you! So before you get too busy in your daily routine, take a moment and meditate on the great love that the Father has lavished on you. What a privilege it is to be one of His cherished children!
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the extravagant love that You pour out on me each day. Please remind me that I am Your child first, and then I am Your servant. I pray that You would remove any hindrances that would prevent me from receiving Your personal and intimate affection for me. I am so privileged to be called Your child. Amen.
