Simply because you are my child and I am your Father.
2 Corinthians 6:18
I will be to you a Father. You will be to me sons and daughters,’ says the Lord Almighty.” (WEB)
It is incredible to think that you don’t have to do anything auspicious to be a recipient of Father God’s love and grace. You merely have to receive His offer of eternal life and put your trust in Him. What is even more incredible is the fact that not one person is deserving of this special gift that God offers. Yet, because the essence of the Father’s heart is love, He freely offers this gift to all who will come. Such love deserves a response of adoration and obedience from a grateful child to his loving heavenly Father.
PRAYER
Father, it seems so inadequate to merely use words to express my deepest thanks for Your incomparable gift of love and acceptance. I praise You for taking that huge first step toward reconciliation. You are the perfect example of what the relationship between Father and child should be. Thank You, Father, for Your unending goodness to me. Amen.
